Beyond that, I have proven myself as a qualified customer service employee as colleagues would indicate that I am an effective administrative support specialist, While business operations are cogs in the apparatus of my career, educational and social service programs are essential components of my work experience. Ultimately, I continue to balance the creative surge which drives me and the business practices that provide for my family in both the academic and corporate terrain.
I earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from
West Chester University of Pennsylvania in 1999. During my collegiate years, I spent an incredible amount of time fine tuning my literary voice. I feverishly wrote poems, essays, short stories and social commentaries on the human experience. Frankly, my degree course work was secondary to the commitment I made to my writing. On campus I worked as a student library aide and eventually as a part time library acquisitions coordinator. This was my introduction to the methodology and procedures of Administrative Office Support. Graduation day shook me out of my semi-conscious state and the professional market place became a functioning necessity.
I accepted a position with the US Dept. of Education as a senior research aide on the Civil Rights Compliance Report Project. While working in this capacity, I provided public, private and charter school officials with an analysis of vital data reporting data. This information was instrumental in funding determination for Title 1 and compliance programs in school districts across the nation. I remained with the OCR project until its completion.

Instinctively, I bonded with the intentions of the OCR's educational initiatives, still I remained devoted to cultivating my passion for writing. I continued the early drafts of manuscripts which were the building blocks of my literary archive. Along the way there were certain noteworthy individual milestones, (Motherhood in particular) Although I held a myriad of short term customer service positions, I gravitated towards opportunities that were aligned with my affinity for academic and social service. I accepted a job offer from Kaplan Test Prep and and Admissions, The objective of my position at Kaplan was to help Nursing and Medical students prepare for their board exams, yet I remained preoccupied with the intellectual development of grade school students. (After all I had my own exceptional student's academic success to motivate me)

I drafted the curriculum for the workshop in 2007 to accompany the tutoring sessions I provided for Against All Odds Foundation. In light of the Agency's restructuring, I was compelled to revise the program infusing the insight gained from a position I accepted in a Northern NJ Public School District. The completion of this outsourced district support staff contract carved a new pathway for me as an independently contracted instructor. The new program model was launched during my tenure as an English/ Language Arts enrichment teacher at Ivy Learning Academy in Rutherford, NJ and Pioneer Academy in Wayne N.J.
Today, “Lightning Language Arts” has proven itself to be an effective resource in bridging the achievement gap for students requiring supplemental learning services. This Literacy Enrichment Program is designed to improve vocabulary, comprehension, and enhance academic compositions such as essays, reaction, response and research papers.Concisely, Lightning Language Arts© provides innovative tutorial methods for improved writing skills. The program further guides its participants through a constructive creative platform. Through its featured creative writing elements, the program engages participants in an expressive outlet as they uncover social, cultural; political awareness.

Writing Experience.....
My
earliest professional writing break came in 2002. I found
myself perched in a glass fish bowl within a post -production nerve center for
the recording industry, Masterdisk
Multimedia Studios in NYC. Granted my time wasn’t occupied by red carpet interviews nor penning the next Billboard smash. I was given the awesome
title of RECEPTIONIST. I was tethered to the switch board except when, making
coffee, taking lunch orders or running reports with the billing manager. Tenacious and inspired by the creative
current surrounding me I
drafted copy for the studio’s marketing brochures, newsletter and web content.
The network of online publications associated with Masterdisk, presented me
with a chance to write music and film reviews for publication. I continued to
submit my manuscript to various publishing and literary agents for
consideration. Despite the wave of
rejection letters I still trusted instincts and remained diligent. Once I made the choice not to leave the fate
of my writing career in the hands of a massive publishing company the answer became clear, however I had no clue where to begin.
Graciously, a part time work assignment with a venture capital firm specializing in start up business financing helped guide me through the establishment process. My former Executive Manager has become a professional mentor Theodore Ellenis is a venture capital force of nature. He has been a champion of my tenacity. It was with his direction that was I was able to establish Macro Cosmic Scripts Publishing. To date, I have published, copyright protected and released 4 titles under my own banner. I extended the brand's operations to include business and creative writing services. I was able to draw from my exposure to templates, formats and content absorbed during my position as Executive Assistant in the venture capital firm.
Business and Creative Writing Service Process
It begins with an organization orientation. This introduction will allow me to learn how to effectively apply the mission, objective, history, scope of service or product description for the client, I offer a variety of business/ professional writing services that include: new venture prospectus, formal business plans, Grant Submissions( RFP's), Artist Profile/Biographies, and business marketing copy.
Once the client's requested document type is established, we enter into an official agreement on the terms, draft submission dates. and document completion date.
There is an initial non-refundable consultation fee of $45 for the duration of said meeting. The client will provide an additional $45 for retaining my services for an outline/ document draft, which remains the property of the client as stipulated by the retainer agreement. Once the client has reviewed the outline/draft and has made a final determination to proceed, we enter into a contracted service agreement.
My function as the business document writer will be to accurately draft, revise and finalize requested documents within established time line. I offer client updates, rewrite meetings and electronic versions for review prior to the submission deadline. I will decidedly work to meet the expectations of clients however the established contractual terms ensure that remuneration for my writing service is provided.
